My TT story **with a pic
I got to the hospital on Tuesday morning at 5:30 and to my surprise the nurse was waiting on me with my chart in her hand, she led me and my mom to a small triage room with a bed and gown all waiting for me, They took my vitals had me "go" in a cup, gave me a "chill pill" started and IV, Dr. Warnock came in used his magic marker on me, and as soon as they had verified that I passed the pregnancy test, annisteisa came in gave me some awesome good drugs, mom kissed me good bye and I was out. I vaguely remember being wheeled down a hallway and the next thing I knew I was waking up in recovery. Unlike with my Gastric bypass I didn't have much pain upon awakening. The hospital was so full that they kept me in recovery for over 2 hours just waiting on a bed to be available. I remember having a very confused, drugged conversation with the recovery nurse...(there is no telling what I said to her but apparently I was asking for my mom...alot). I got to my room and again unlike with my RNY I didn't sleep well. I remember after my RNY I basically slept through that entire day, but this time I would sleep for 20 mins- 1 hr and then be awake for about the same amt of time. That went on all day, and that first night, finally the next day they took me off the pump and on the liquid Lori-tab and that helped me sleep better. I have 4 drain tubes and while yeah they're no fun, they're really not as horrible as I expected them to be. My Dr. has me taking two showers a day everyday and using Hibiclense, he's also got me on antibiotics and something to keep me from getting a yeast infection. I stayed in the hospital until Thursday and then came home, well I'm at my moms. My fiance works out of town for 7 days at a time and didn't have the vacation time to take to be at home with me. So now I'm basically living my life from a recliner in my mom's living room, Watching alot of
WEtv and working on a hand embroidery project that I've been working on for a while. My pain isn't too bad when I stay on schedule with my meds. I overslept this morning and was a few hours late taking it...and man I paid for it. I see My Dr. on Tuesday and I'm hoping after that to start to ween myself off the loritab. So all in all they got 4.7 lbs from my abdomen, I had an anchor cut. Below is a pic of the skin they took off. I will get some pics of my incisions taken and posted in a few days. I am SOOOO pleased with the results! I've NEVER had a flat tummy and I feel like this has opened up a whole new part of myself that I didn't even know existed. I can already tell that I will have so much more confidence and will feel so much better about myself that this has ALL been worth it!!

I think it's great that my Dr. does that. He takes two and that's the first thing they show you when you wake up! the other one is just of the skin laying on a blue cloth, and you can't really tell the size in relation to a person. I couldn't believe that it only weighed 4.7 lbs...looks like alot more to me!
Congratulations ! I had my doctor email my before & after pics , which he was great about . Now , when i'm over critical I take a look . My skin has loosened a little . I think when you've lost a major amount of weight it's hard to get us as tight as we want . Just speaking for me , not you . It is so worth it , isn't it . Just wait until the swelling goes down & you wear zip up pants without feeling smooshed . It's glorious .
