I came home with ACE wraps on my arms and only wore the compression garment for a few days (the seam in the armpit was making my incision bleed) before going back to the wraps.  I used them until the swelling was almost completely gone... about 5 weeks, I think.

HAPPY TO HEAR THAT YOU LOVE YOUR NEW ARMS.  I HAD MY ARM DONE A YEAR AGO AND I HATE THEM. I JUST REALLY BELIEVE THAT MY DR.  DID NOT TAKE ENOUGH OFF HE KEEP TELLING THAT THEY LOOK FINE, BUT THEY DON'T AND I HAVE TRY EVERYTHING I COULD THINK OF TO FIRM THEM UP, BUT IT IS NOT WORKING  I AM SO DEPRESSED ABOUT IT. I HATE LOOKING AT THEM. SO THAT IS SO GOOD FOR YOU THAT YOU LIKE YOUR NEW ARM. I AM GOING TO TRY AND GET THEM DONE AGAIN.

I didn't. I used ace bandages instead.
