brachioplasty- how long did you wear the compression garment?
I go back to the doctor tomorrow, so I will of course ask him then, but how long did everyone else wear their sleeves after brachioplasty? I'm 2 weeks 2 days out, but there does not seem to be much swelling left, if any.
And I must say i LOVE my new arms!! They are better than I had even hoped for!!

I wore mine from 2 weeks out til about 6 weeks. However my Dr did tell me that @ 4 weeks I didn't have to wear it 24/7 since I was going back to work. I chose to wear it all day since the first few days not wearing it during the day I could see my arms really swell by the end of the day and it felt better to have them on.

My surgeon encouraged me to wear mine for 6 weeks but after 4 weeks he said only at night was fine. I explained to him that I was applying the neosporin and vit e oil during the day then again at night before bed. I grease them up really well at night and put my ace bandages on and it really helps to make it soak into the scar. My scars have faded nicely. I never did have swelling in my arms. The ace bandages are acting more like a dressing cover for me.

I had very little pain w/ my brachio. Found the worst was in the first few days I was over using one arm since everything was on my right side. We put in a TV tray next to my chair on the left to even things out and I was fine. But for me other than my MTL I had very little pain or discomfort w/ all my procedures (brachio, LBL & BL/BA).

I wore mine for 4 weeks, Dr. Mariotti told me I could stop after 3 weeks but decided to wear them for my first week back to work for extra support. My pain level was not bad, I had my tt and arms done at the same time and the only time I had any pain was when I would sit up/lay down or sit down/stand up as you need both stomach and arm muscles to do all of those. Once I was situated my pain stopped.
