New Years Eve Aspiration

Gawd, I am such a party girl . My big deal on New Years Eve was going in for another aspiration of my hematoma after my TT 4 weeks ago. Last week he withdrew about a cup and a half of old blood. Yesterday was about a cup. I'll go back again on Tuesday for another go at it.

My belly is so flat after the aspiration!! I will be so thrilled when this is done and really hope that I don't have to have a drain put back in.

I wish you all a wonderful 2010, I know I am really looking forward to another wonderful year in the life of post op WLS and plastics

Wow Martha,
You do know how to party, don't you?
I hope you won't need another drain and that this was the last aspiration.  My seroma is too diffuse and an aspiration wasn't successful.  My PCP tried.  So I am left hoping it will just be absorped by my body over time.

Happy New Year Martha and I hope that flat tummy of yours is something you can start appreciating soon!!!

That sounds like fun..haha! I went to Kaiser for my soroma and my PCP said there wasnt anything to take out??? ... although I could flick one side of my tummy and the wave would go accross to the other. She said it would reabsorb after time. It doesnt hurt just gives a little lip over my TT incision. Glad to know you are getting all the old stuff out of ya :-). Happy new year

Hi Martha,

Sorry to hear about the aspirations.  Sounds like the amount is decreasing, though.  Does the aspiration hurt?  I had a circumferential body lift 3 weeks ago, and I think I have a seroma at my low back incision.  I see the doc on Tuesday and am psyching myself up for possible aspiration.

Thanks,

Terri
