I am six days post op and I had a BL/BA with Dr Sauceda.  I was fine up until yesterday when I started having a horrible burning sensation to my lt breast.  For those of you who have experience this is there anything I can do to help with the pain?  I have already cried once today and have yelled out countless times.  My poor hubby feels so helpless.  Do you thin**** would help?  I'm desperate...I'll try anything....

OMGosh I am so sorry. Have you called the doctor yet?. If the pain killers he gave you are not giving you relief let him know so he can give you something stronger or if there is an issue that is causing the pain he needs to know so he can help. Dont be in pain for a long period of time like that.

I didn't have bad pain but you can bet I would knocking down the door for meds.

When I was in therapy for my shoulder I was told that ice could help with the pain.

Hope you get relief soon!

I still have a severe pinch here and there in my nipple. Sometimes it feels like my nipple is being pinched so hard that it is going to just fall off and run away to get away from the pain! It's normally quick tings. I take my arnica, bromelain and pills...either the muscle relaxer of pain pill...even a Tylenol would help. Deep breathing, positive imageries....try it all...go to your happy place! Yes...I am a counselor!  Good Luck & Happy healing~ Holli

Thanks for ur info and support....I was unable to sleep and I pretty much had the pain for 16 straight hours.  I cried and yelled out a couple of times.  As soon as I'm up and walking I am fine.  I will tell Dr Sauceda when he comes by.  I took two extra strength tylenol and that didn't seem to help either.  I have the arnica and I have yet to try that so maybe that wil be my next step.  Once again...thank you...thank you...thank you.

 Yaya,

I actually took the Arnica after my wreck and it seemed to work well, but only lasted for about an hour. The lady at the health food store said I could take 1 pellet like every 15 minutes if I needed to. When I read about the Arnica, it said it was for muscle and tissue trauma, so I figured it would work for a wreck as good as it would work for a surgery. You should give it a try! It may help!

Oh honey, have Dr S give you a different pain med. Some just work better or worse for different people, and you need a different one.

Nerve regeneration can be painful, but Dr S should give you something that works better for you. That's one of the things he's known for, is not letting his patients suffer much pain.

I hate that you are hurting, and you have to tell Dr S!  He cannot help you if he doesn't know!  He does NOT want his patients in pain, that is for sure!  I still have the nerve/burning sensations where I had lipo, but that is common.

I hope you get some relief soon!

I'm sorry you are hurting!  I hope that Dr S was able to give you some different medication.  I had my breast reduction 3 1/2 weeks ago.  I have had that burning pain and still do although it is not nearly as bad as it was.  I wasn't expecting this kind of pain. I can't wait for it to go away but it is manageable with Tylenol.  Good luck!
