Revision and Short term disability

When I had my first surgery (tt, bl/ba) short term disability paid me for the eight weeks I was out of work.  My insurance paid for the tt so I am assuming that's the reason they approved me for the STD.  Do you think they will approve me during my revision surgery time?

Just wondering if I should apply for it or use my vacation and sick days.

Thanks in advance for your reply.

If they pay for the surgery they should cover you for revision because its related. Hope they do.

Wow!  That's a great question.  My Short Term Disability is paying me to be out for 8 weeks.  I bet they won't pay when I return in the fall for the rest of my procedures.  But maybe!

I am getting Short Term disability and I am selfpay for surgery. I believe I got a paper stating how much total State Disability will pay out so if you haven't used it all they should pay. The way mine works is that I have to use 19.2 hours a week of my sickleave (have accrued 384 hours total) and then I get a Short Term Disability check to cover rest of my wages...Good luck
