Happy new year everybody!  I haven't been posting recently, just kind of getting back to my normal life.  It took me 6 long weeks to get my last drain out and I thought I would go crazy before it was finally removed just before Christmas.  I feel so much better now, even though now I know what "swell hell" really is!  I bought 2 new pairs of jeans recently, one in a 14 and one in a size 12.  I've never worn a 12 in my life!  I'm 5'7, down from a size 16 post op, and have dropped from about 170 the day of surgery to 157 now.  Weight keeps going up and down with the swelling though.
Thanks to all of you for your post and kind words.  They really helped me!

Melissa,  I had an anchor cut tt, extended on the sides.  They took off 17 lbs. of skin.  When I first came home I weighed 154, but keep bouncing back and forth with swelling.   I lost 175 lbs. after gastric bypass two yrs. ago, but just couldn't lose anymore.  160 was my weight loss goal and now I'm finally there!

That's awesome Bonnie!  Glad you are feeling more normal these days.  It is amazing how long it takes for the body to get back to pre-op condition.  Congrats on the contiuned weight loss!
