Now I'm worried

I'd think you would want to be at your peak energy level when you start a new job.  You might want to speak to the airlines and see if you can cancel and reschedule within a year for a fee.  If you don't get the job, you can reschedule with Dr. S.

Jobs are really at a premium these days and it sounds like this is a great opportunity.  I'm sure if they knew you were going to have surgery they wouldn't hire you because they would be worried about you having complications and needed time off at the start of the job and they won't want to deal with that.

It might be worth the loss in $ for the plane ticket to postpone your surgery.

Good luck making this tough decision and good luck on getting the job.   Lin

Yes ideally I would want to be at my peak energy level.  I also probably won't have 3 solid weeks to take off from work again for years.  If I do get the job, I'll have 22 days to heal between surgery date and start date, I just don't know when I'll ever have that much free time to heal again unless I find myself out of work ...again.

Such a hard decision.

I would go forward with the surgery and not do ANYTHING for those three weeks and take good care, take vitamins, B12, Juice Plus (I'm a big fan and i do NOT sell it) and eat well. I don't think you'd be at peak perfomance but i bet you could fake it some. Anyway that's probably what I'd try to do since the field is competitive and there is no guarantee on the job front.

Well, I guess I'd go for it all.  You can put up a good front in front of others at work, then go home at night and collapse and take care of yourself.  Good luck.  Lin

ok, so here is my humble opinion:

I would get the less invasive procedures in january:

-BA if it is over the muscle because I heard that under is much more difficult to recuperate
-TT without MR: generally you need MR if you had children. I am not an expert but I saw your pics and your belly seems to be in pretty good shape

Then, I would let the lipo and fat grafting for...the next opportunity you have! The problem with the fat grafting is that they say it is painful and you need the lipo to get the fat...or you do your lipos this time and forget about the butt aug. eventhough you still have the options of implants...

-Face work: can wait...You have such a pretty face and you got a mini face lift so let your face to recuperate well and keep that procedure also for round 2.

This way you don't have to sacrifice one or the other...Go with the easiest procedures and you will be up for your job...

For round 2, gather for 6,000$ worth of procedures and then again you will have your flight ticket reimbursed by Dr. S

My 2 cent! Good luck :-)

Hey Gal, really good ideas!

Dr. S says over the muscle for my BA.  But the thing I want the most is the upper and lower eye lid lifts, my eyes just really don't match the rest of my face after the mini lift.  I think 21 days will be enough time for them to heal at least enough so that I can cover with make up.  Plus that isn't an invasive procedure.   I so like your advice on putting off the lipo and butt aug since those seem to be the most painful.  Not only that, I'm very interested the new ultra sound lipo sculpture that is supposed to be much much less painful and provide a much smoother result.  Dr. S doesn't do it and it might not be appropriate for havesting fat for grafting which he will  want to get from teh back as that fat takes the best so I'll put that off.   If I have the job then I can afford to get the ultra sound lipo on my thighs done in the states eventually.

I think that's a good plan, upper and lower Bleth, temp filler (Restalyn) to plump the lips, A little Botox in the forhead and my face will look 15 years younger.  Plus BL/BA & small TT  - I'll skip the lipo and butt aug for now.

Thanks Amaryllis, I feel much better about it all now.

zoe I tried IM you privatly could you add me as a friend.
I am also in sales and know it is a cut throat job.....but with that being said you know the first couple of days you will be learning THE COMPANY MOTTO,So that will give you 3 days to be down while on the job...I would go for the surgery....I would start taking vitamins and an iron pill prior to surgery as that will help you not be so sluggish after surgery..jus****ch the iron doesnt bind you up....

Hey Tamara,
I admit there are so many responses to your post I did not read all of them.....
You are I had VSG the same time we are about the same age okay I am a lil older and same size etc etc. so I will tell you where I am ....
I am a very physical person as my job as a Motion Picture Set Painter requires me to lift heavy things on a daily basis and climb ladders be on my feet all day so I consider myself in pretty good physical condition going into surgery that being said it has been just about 2 months now and I am still not feeling myself. I still worry about ripping and tearing something, injury as It still feels numb, tight and sore in some places, even though the PS says I am clear to do all I do not feel ready.
Now I know my job requires more physical aspects but the energy too. I think what you need to do is weigh which one is really most important to you- the way Isee it is this may be your only opportunity for this job and you can always have the PS in the future that being said  I also know how much you want the PS and how much strength it takes to get up the courage to move forward with it. SO I get the difficult place you are in and I don;t envy you as it is a difficult choice.
I wish you the best in whatever you decide to do.
