So far as surgery goes........
I normally recovery very quickly. I always push myself to get up and back to normal asap. I am normally off all pain meds very quickly. Just a couple weeks after my TT I up and ready to take on the world. My body was strong and well healed from the Brachioplasty I had a few months earlier.
HOWEVER I have to tell you I am 4 weeks out from the LBL (Outer Thigh Lift and Butt Lift with Flap Augmentation) and there is no way I could start a new job, especially one that requires lost of enthusiastic energy! This has been a much more difficult recovery for me. Maybe because it comes only 3 months after the TT, or maybe it's just because it was a more involved surgery and has taken a toll on my body. My Butt is still really sore and sometimes down right painful and still need to take something in the afternoon to take the edge off the pain. I'm also having a small complication on my right butt cheek which making a little worse.
I'm not saying this to scare you but just want you to beware that recovery can take a while and in my humble opinion with all you are having done I don't think you'll be ready to jump into a new job in 2 or 3 weeks.
I'd try to get a start date closer to Feb 15th if you can.
Best wishes on the job interview and the surgery!
Well lots to think about. Thanks for the feedback.

After the TT I was feeling great almost immediately....truly an easy procedure for me.
The LBL (Outer thighs and Butt w/Aug) has been the worst.
Let others provide feedback too.....I know before I had mine done a few folks told me the worst part for them was the Butt .....
I hope you have a smooth and easy recovery!!!!
Best wishes
Tamara, I had the VSG on a Tuesday and was at a Oakland Raiders football game by Sunday. It was a total breeze. I am 3.5 weeks out from a TT, BL/BA, booty fat grafting and Thigh lift. At 2 weeks out, there is no way I could have went back to work let alone start a new job. I am really sore by mid afternoon still. I don't have pain per say but really sore. And....first 2 weeks I had not complications at all. Just a few days ago, I found I have delicate skin on one breast that is now slightly open and need to tend to that open wound. Not a big deal but not something I would want to deal with or worry about during first few days of a new job. I also have a seroma above my tummytuck incision. Dr S says it should absorb in but I am going to see a local PS to get his opinion since I dont want additional issues. Seromas are very common I here also. You also said something about your eyes getting done. Will you have bruises still at 2 weeks? Will you be able to put makeup on them to disguise if so? I know I had massive bruises on my back and butt at 2 weeks still. Just something to think about.
I know you are stuck between a rock and a hard place on your options but I would really look realistically as to what the worst case healing scenario could be and have a plan of action accordingly.

I won't have that sort of time off again for years really. Unless I find myself out of work again, I'll never be able to take more than 3 weeks off, well not for a long long time. I understand that there could be complications that may prolong the healing process, that is always a risk anyone takes.
I guess if I get the job, and I'm gonna be positive and say WHEN I get the job, and IF I decide to go ahead with the PS surgery if I'm not at least 75% on my start date, I'm going to have to let them know I've undergone some sort of procedure that had complications.
I don't know , I just don't know what to do.

What a great opportunity for two awesome things to take place in your life in 2010 :) I had the full LBL with a BL and Lipo.....I was told that 3 weeks was plenty of time to be ready to babysit my 5 month old (22lb) grandson. Well, I think that somewhere between 2-3 weeks I could have done that, but at 2 weeks, Dr. Agha tried to move my belly button a little more center and that threw me for a loop!!! It took another full 7-10 days to re recuperate...so I guess with a TT and BA/BL there is a good possibility you could start your job. I think 3 weeks is more likely....but do you generally heal qucikly from surgeries?? I agree with some others that maybe you could accept the job if offered to you, see how you feel and if worse comes to worse ask for an extra week????I'm not sure I'd mention the surgery during the interview process but if you get the offer, that would be a good time to discuss it....Good luck...Lynette
