Now I'm worried
The problem is, and it's kind of a good problem, but I've advanced to round 3 and the final interview for a great job. The interview is on Tues Jan 5th, and I really want this job. I essentially been unemployed/underemployed for 2 years and this is the first opportunity that equals my experience as well as providing a lot of growth oppotunity and challenge. If I get the Job, which I hope and pray I do, I wouldn't start until the last week in January or Feb 1st. I'm concerned if having PS is going to render me depleted of energy for long after the surgery. My surgery is scheduled for Jan 9th.
The Job is VP of Sales for a software start up and will require a lot of energy. Am I setting myself up for failure if I have the PS just prior to starting????????????
Oh Lordy what do I do? How long until you felt like yourself again?

you have two options here...
1) have your surgery, and tell your new employeer that you cannot start until maybe the second week in feb b/c of your surgery
2) reschedule the surg for the summer
your new empoyeer would probably rather have you starting a few weeks later, than taking a huge chunk of time off at a later date.
it might be that you can stay home, start some of the training at home (reading, etc) and then go to the office mid feb. i would definately talk to them about that.
if they want you bad enough most likely they will be more than happy to make some kind of arrangement. that is a lot of surg you are having at once and will probably take a good amount of time to recover.
good luck! (and hopefully congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

In this competitive job market I would not dare tell them I am having surgery especially since it is purely cosmetic, I don't need it, I don't have a lot of extra skin it's purely vanity. I know they were hoping the candidate would start last week of January but I could probably put them off until Feb 1st but I will not be able to put it off longer.
I won't be able to reschedule surgery anytime soon, we are talking more than a year at the soonest, it's kind of now or not for a long long time.
I so wish I had made the decision a few months earlier, but can't cry over spilled milk.

Also I'm not sure all that you are planning to get done but I think it was a BL right? Just be careful not to overdo it or you may end up hurting yourself.

DEf hard to decide on two important things but whatever you decide to do I am sure it will be the best decision for you...
I am actually looking to have surgery with Dr. S and we discussed BL/BA, Extended tummy tuck, brachio and fat injections.
I have a consult with Emily Pollard in Bala Cynwyd on Monday for a reduction but need to know how soon after a reduction/lift can you have impants just in case I think they are 2 small...I am looking to take 4-6 weeks off for my surgery so that might help...

I'm 18 days out from a circumferential body lift and breast lift. I heal better than most people and am still having difficulty getting in and out of bed. I can sit, stand, walk, but cannot drive yet. Still have two of my four drains in and swelling. That's very specific to the individual, though. But my incisions look absolutely amazing. My surgeon did such a wonderful job. Not so much as a tiny pucker anywhere.
I'm not familiar with Dr. Sauceda's vitamin and supplement protocol, but can tell you that Dr. Lickstein considers it very important to healing and energy. Starting two weeks prior to surgery I had to take two multi vitamins a day, 12 hours apart and 1,000 mg Vitamin C per day. Three days beforehand, I started Bromelain and Quercetin supplements three times a day, then immediately after surgery added Arnica Montana three times a day. I'mstill on double multis and the C. The Bromelain and Quercetin was a 7-14 day course, and the Arnica is until swelling subsides. By the way the Bromelain and Quercetin is an anti-inflammatory, anti-bruising protocol. You can get all of these in the Vita Medica line which some surgeons sell, or you can purchase them at GNC in the same strengths for a lot less money (which was recommended by my surgeon). I believe these supplements definitely helped my healing and energy levels. Also, I was in really good physical shape from regular exercise before the surgery, which I believe helped as well. At this point, the only thing holding me back is the darned drains. But I believe you still will experience swelling and fatigue after a full day of work. Binder and compression garments help a lot.
Hope this info helped a bit. Best of luck with your surgeries and your new job. I'll be keeping a good thought for you.
