Take care of yourself.  Good that you got to the doc right away and are on thinners now.  Sounds like you are on the road to recovery.

Wow. Glad you went o the doc. I agree, an important reminder as to how serious any surgery can be and to listen to your body.

Prayers for a speedy recovery.

Wow, how scary!  I remember feeling pain in my calf the day I came home from the hospital.  Being the worrier I am, I quickly called the dr and he told me to go to the ER.  I had an  ultrasound and thank God everything turned out fine, but I was so scared.  The chances of blood clots after surgery scares me more than the actual surgery. Thank God my dr automatically gives lovenox for 5 days after LBLs.  I gave myself the shots with no problem.  I have read a few posts on here within the past couple of years about others getting blood clots as late as 3 weeks after surgery.

That's scary stuff! Thank goodness you got in and found the problem right away. I'm thinking gentle, clot dissolving thoughts tonight.....

Thank you for all of your kind thoughts - wanted to give a quick update.  I ended up having to go to the ER early Tuesday morning after having pain when I took deep breaths.  I had a CT scan and found that in addition to the DVT in my right leg I had four pulmonary embolisms.  I was admitted and am on lovenox and coumadin.  I am getting excellent care and despite being in a whole lot of pain, am still crazy pleased with the results of my PS!!!  Thanks again for your notes!

Another update - finally came home today after a week in the hospital.  I am so happy to be home.  Still in some pain from the DVT in my leg and tired tired tired but on the mend.

TT incision is healing so nicely and my PS came to see me every single day, including New Year's.  She brought me magazines and hung out just to keep my spirits up - can't say enough about Dr. Michelle Zweifler for anyone in the NYC area.

The swelling is going down in my thighs where we did the lipo and the bruising is almost entirely gone.  I'm 18 days post-op and again, despite my crazy complications am so happy with my results. I'll post some more pics up Thursday at 21 days post-op.

Thanks again for all of your thoughts and prayers.
