As a follow up to my scar sheets post, I have posted to my profile my almost 4 week pictures. My before photo shows my Nov gallbladder scar above my BB, note how far down it came with the TT .

The swelling is still there because of the hematoma, another aspiration is scheduled for Thursday.

Thanks for posting the pictures, quite the improvement after using the silicone strips, can you please share the brand? How often do you use them? Are they like placing a band-aid? I have a similar issue with swelling above the scar on the right side of my pubic area, there is an area about 5 inches long by three inches wide that is very hard and protruding quite a bit, it is very similar to yours, my surgeon looked at it and was not alarmed nor did she discussed aspirating it. She stated it was swelling and it will subside. I have an appointment on January 16 and will ask again, it seems like the only spot where I have this issue. Did the swelling go down after the first aspiration? Any idea why they couldn't do it all at once? I had a panniculectomy done on November 30 and still have my drains on, the amount of drainage is getting smaller but not to the level the surgeons want's it to be before she will pull the drains (she wants 30cc or less per drain for 3 days straight before she will remove them).

Thanks again for providing all of this good information. I appreciate it.

I bought the CVS brand, I posted about them earlier today. I wear the all the time except when I am in the shower in the morning.

The swelling did go down a lot after the aspiration last week. He removed almost a cup and a half of old blood. It has apparently filled up again..... My drain came out at 6 days, it was draining less than 20cc's a day.

How soon after surgery do you put the silicone sheets on? Should I take them with me to Mexico - or get them when I return?

Thanks!!

Definitely wait until after you get back! You shouldn't start using them until after the incision is healed and all the scabs are gone (usually about 3 weeks). Boy do they work though!!

Wow HUGE difference with those scar sheets!!  You have sold me on them now, and I'm glad to see you used the ones I can just pick up at CVS instead of having to special order them. Thanks for sharing!
