Enough With the Lurking Already!
Hello, my name is Rhonda; and I too am a saggy baggy elephant.
lol---well, I guess I should be; afterall, I've lost roughly 130 lbs. By advice of my PCP, I have seen two plastic surgeons to get "ballparks" of what needs done. Both agree on the list of procedures, but disagree on what should be done together and when. I will be seeing a third plastic surgeon within one month, and then will start praying over my decision of who to go to.
My PCP wanted me to get an idea of how much skin weight approximate did they think would come off so she could better determine where to have me stop losing weight. Well, that being said, I'm done! Maintaining has been no different to me than it has been for the five months of "trying to lose but not losing anything stall", except, not feeling bad over not losing. (smiles) I promised my hubby that I would not put us in debt for this, that we would save the money on the front end. Well, if God is willing (for He alone knows what tomorrow holds for anyone) and saving / budgets hold; it appears my first round of plastics will happen (drumroll, please) the end of September. This will place my two small kiddos in school full time, and give me months of healing to happen before swim season starts again.
Oh, I forgot, I am more than likely going to have a fluer-de-le with circum. LBL, back flap butt aug (not tons, just a little); with a little lipo of saddlebags for the first go round. The second go round will have breast lift (no aug), medial thigh lift, and (fingers crossed for DH's approval) taking care of my little turkey neck.
I have looked at both Dr. Kurtis Martin and Dr. Michael Columbus; and will also be consulting with Dr. Jennifer Butterfield (all in Cincinnati). Anyone use any of these, and would like to share your story and results?
I've been lurking on this board for quite some time, and look forward to travelling this path with all of you.

Hi. Welcome to the board.
Sounds like you are planning the same procedures that I have had (I have one final one to go.....the inner thighs).
Feel free to read my blogs (have tips and recaps recovery after each procedure). Also, if you have specific questions send me a PM and I'd be happy to share. Oh, I have pictures posted too (have to be a friend) which shows my lovely before pictures and the afters.
Best wishes on your journey!!!

Dr Martin did my mons lift, reverse TT, and brachioplasty (and a minor revision to part of the incision on one arm) and I have been very pleased with him. He takes a lot of pride in his work and the surgical hospital he uses seemed to give good care (which really mostly consisted of pain meds and help getting to the bathroom overnight, LOL).
My TT incision (which was over the top of an open RNY and a hernia repair) turned necrotic and it took 6 months for the gaping hole to heal up, but it was not caused by anytrhing Dr Martin did... just too much compromised blood supply from too many surgeries.
Be sure to ask the various surgeons what their policies are on followup visits (some surgeons only include a certain number in their original fee, which could drastically increase the cost if there are complications) and on scar revisions if necessary.
I see Dr Martin next week for an estimate on some minor lipo on a couple of areas where I have small pouches of some residual fat (curiously, all on one side of my body).
