Silicone Scar Sheets
If you're looking for a great and CHEAP silicone product for this, I've just recently discovered Mepitac 3/4" silicone tape which we've started using in our office.
A 118 inch roll of this tape is only about $20 which is much more economical then applying some of those scar sheets.

Actually the cost is the same if you want to cut the 1 and 1/2 inch sheets in half to have the 3/4" width. I did read the website that you attached, it does not mention scar treatment as a use for this product. How have the results in your office been?

That link is simply for a tape that is great for people with sensitive skin. However the same company does offer the silicone scar sheets ... http://www.metromedicalonline.com/wound-care--silicon-gel-sh eeting.html - maybe when I win the lotto.

The silicone tape is similar material to the rest of their products line. They have some proprietary design common to their products which facilitates the skin adherance without irritation.
The 3/4" tape is excellent for breast and abdomen scars as it is similar to steri strips or paper tape that we commonly use. Their larger silicone sheet products (which come in larger rectangular pieces) are fine as well, but they're really wider then what you need for incisions. They're still unbelievably cheap for silicone sheeting ($5-10/piece) & I've thought about taking some and cutting them in half for brachioplasty coverage,
The tape has worked so well and is so convenient for multiple applications that I biased towards it. It seems particularly well suited for people applying this themselves at home.

Martha,
Thank you very much for your review about the CVS sheets. I have tried Biodermis sheets and then Scar Guard gel and I have been happy with neither. I am looking for something else to try and I will give these CVS sheets a try. I have spent hours online trying to decipher between all the products out there. Thank you!
