Okay so I am geez like 3 months out from my anchor tummy tuck ( whatever it's called when you have an upside down T scar)  but has anyone ever wondered if their belly button was put back in the right place or what it was made out of?

They said they used my belly button but I'm thinkin' its a little low.  But, at least you can see my belly button where as before, the over hang from the top was obstructing the view.

If my pre-op research is correct, they disconnect your skin from the belly button stem and then cut a new hole in your pulled down skin and reconnect the stem.

I think they're made out of doggie pig ear chews.

KIDDING!!!

I have my same bellybutton, but cut into its proper place.  I k now, because I have the same freckle in there that I played with as a kid in the bathtub.

I am going to be getting an anchor TT in  a few weeks - how is your scar?  I'm really concerned about the healing of the anchor cut....

The scar kinda looks like a cardiac scar but mine healed so well that you can barely see it.  I use Vitamin E oil on it now to make sure it doesn't harden into a major scar and its actually faded some.  I was pretty much healed in 2 to 3 weeks but I took 6 weeks off from work just to make sure that sitting and pants on the scar for long periods of time weren't going to be a problem.

I was gone so long either people forgot what I looked like before or they just like telling me I am skinny so definately get prepared for the mental proportion.  I still thought I looked the same.  The worst part will be the drains other than that it wasn't bad at all.  Just keep all the wounds clean and I bought abdominal gauze pads (I found them at rite aid--they had a blue line down the middle)  they seemed to keep the area cleaner and they were just a lot bigger.

GOOD LUCK
