Congratulations! It really does vary surgeon to surgeon as I have found.
My panni went great. I have a flat tummy, no belly button, two drains ( still after 6 days) and haven't taken any pain meds for three. I am walking tenderly but walking. It is a whole different world, looking or sitting down and seeing my whole lap. She took off 8lbs of skin. Good luck!!

hi again, were you self pay or did you have some kind of insurance that covered your panni, it also sounds like they gave you a tummy tuck at the same time.  Here in canada, if warranted, the panni is covered my our health care system but not the tummy tuck.

My insurance paid for everything and my surgeon took their payment in full for the panni and the hospital for one overnight stay. I had no out of pocket costs. BC/BS. My surgeon was adament I did not have a tummy tuck (muscle tightening, lipo etc), just the panniculectomy. She contributed her being able to pull my skin down tightly and doing one incision low hip to hip, to not reconstructing my belly button.
