Brachio- is there an easy way to get compression garments on???

I had brachioplasty 3 days ago.  Is there an easy way to get the compression garment on??  Any tips??  I have the kind that is just the sleeves and I also have a bolero-type (but does not have velcro on the back so I don't think I can use that one yet).  I went to my doctor today and his nurse changed the bandages and helped me put the compression garment back on.  It just about killed me while she was putting it back on.  Do I need a larger size?  It fits snugly, but I think it does fit.

Help!!

Try turning it inside out and the slide it on bringing each part up slowly.  I put mine on this way and it's the way I put my support hose on for work.  The snugger (is that a word?) the better.  I just ordered a smaller one.

Mine was too tight so I never wore it (my doc gave his blessings.) Instead I wrapped my arms twice a day and used hypafix tape, slitted at short intervals, to support the scar line.

Mine hurt too!  Bad!  I used Ace Bandages (with Dr. Approval).
I had multiple surgeries at one time and my arms hurt WAAAAYYYY worse then anything else.  But they do get better and its sooooo worth it!
Good Luck!

Thanks, everyone.  I ended up getting a larger compression garment and that is working.  I figure when the swelling goes down a bit I'll switch back to the smaller one.  For now, the larger one is tight but not as super tight as the other one.  I think the bruising that you can see in my post-op pics was from fighting to get the smaller compression garment on.  Yuck.

Right now I'm thrilled with my results.  My arms were 12" around pre-op and I just measured tham with bandages, compression garment, and swelling, they are 11" around.  I am going to have tiny arms!!

I gave up on the garmenbt, partly because it was so difficult and painful to get on and off and partly because the seam in the armpit was causing my incision to bleed.  I used the wide Ace wraps that were on my arms right after surgery instead.  That was SO much easier!!!!!
