Almost lost my pants

My husband and I were out shopping today, trying to tie up all our Christmas loose ends.  As I was walking through Kohls my husband came jogging up behind me and said "dear your pants are falling down".

Since my LBL 3 weeks ago, I have been wearing jogging pants so today I decided to wear a pair of regular pants.  Because I am still a little numb, have my drains and have a binder on I don't feel things moving around.  When I grabbed my pants I soon realized that if it weren't for the binder, I would have been flashing my butt to the world.  Things are still not computing that when they take 13lbs off your midsection and you drop 5 inches in your waist and hips, that even with swelling your pants are gonna be to big.

Thankfully we were in a clothing store cause I promptly bought some leggings and long sweaters to help me though the holiday season.

Happy Holidays!

That's funny, but I totally understand, being about 4 weeks post LBL myself.  Enjoy shopping for smaller sizes.  I'm waiting for the post Christmas sales!!!!

haha, I know the feeling (or lack of it between the numbness and binder), my husband and kids are always on butt alert-warning me when the pants start to slide. I'm 5 weeks out now and although my pants fit around the middle, they are loose around my butt and thighs (my waist is still swollen I guess....) so every once and awhile down go the pants!!

That's cute.  A bet  you never imagined you'd have that problem.

I tend to wear a belt most of the time as my pants are loose at my waist and it just feels uncomfortable.

Good Idea on the leggings and sweater.

That is TOO FUNNY!  Thanks for sharing...I guess I need to go purchase some leggings and long sweaters too...my LBL and BL is January 14th, and I would not have thought about that being a problem, but with the numbness it makes total sense!

What a fun and funny experience!

I too am 3 weeks out from LBL .....although I can get into my pre-surgery pants/jeans my butt is still very swollen so I don't think there is any way they will fall off. I'm so numb too I'd never feel them slide down either.  I'm going shopping in a couple of hours I may but a belt on just to be sure.  LOL
