A few new pics and an update

Hi all,

I've been MIA!! I was going to document my 4th week post op last weekend, but life happened. My mom fell on the ice outside. She yelled for me when it happened, and I fell down the steps behind her! Luckily my wounds were pretty well healed so I only got a bruised butt. She broke her arm and dislocated her shoulder, and had to have a half shoulder replacement this week. I was excited that i was starting to feel like a normal person and now I'm SOOO exhausted.

Anyway, I posted a few pics. One from 4 weeks of my BL/BA, one of me trying on a bikini last night, and one of my TT scar up close. I hope to post more soon.

I'm very happy with my improvements. I've NEVER had "the girls" where they are supposed to be!! EVER!!  My stomach is so much better. My only complaint is I still have fat left there. My side view is not the best. I'm hoping losing a few pounds will help, but I really wanted to be able to see abs since I was exercising a million hours a week.  My mini arm lift is mini, but a great improvement for the small scar. My legs DEFINATELY need a lift. You can't see it in my pics, so before anyone says that, I will be posting pics of my chicken skin and cellulite for your viewing pleasure, in the near future. LOL! I'm still obviously swollen in my back, and I still have some in my lower abdomen and mons by night time every day.

The non-surgical part has been hard. I can eat like any normal person-- really, and I have to work really hard to maintain my weight. With my mom's care, the sleep deprivation, the post op blues, and my inability to exercise, my eating is a mess and I feel like a whale. Luckily, I therw away most of the food in my house and we're in a snow storm, so no snackies today!

As always, I look forward to comments- be honest! You have to be a friend and the password is PS11132009

Oh now when he does the boob jobs do we have to convey to him that we want cleavage or is it a given? I want your cleavage and Tammy's and ivfmommys. Drawing a blank on others. How much skin was removed???????

Thanks Jennifer!! I didn't say anything about cleavage before my surgery, but I am definately happy with the shape. I'm suprised they look so natural. They are still working on feeling natural, but I'm almost there and Dr. S said it can take 2-3 months, so I guess I'm ahead of schedule! I didn't have much skin removed actually, even though it sure looks and feel like it. Dr. S said it was less than 2 lbs. So much for losing weight through PS! LOL!!

When is your mom having WLS? I hope you get your chance soon. If not, maybe I'll run into you in Monterrey when I get my thigh lift!  Thanks again.

My mom was having it(wls) in December through BC/BS. Then she decided that she wanted it in San Diego through the Bariatric center in San Diego. So Tonight we leave so she can have her evaluation at 9:30 a.m. Then another appointment at 10:30a.m., then her final appointment at 12 noon tomorrow.

So all of this will clear her for surgery during spring break.... I actually have a date with Dr S Open during spring break. I am scared to cancel it. I spoke to him about it and he said OK I will leave it open and when you find out you let me know! I am going to school for my Ba in nursing which leaves me the same vacation time as my mother the teacher.

My insurance is Kaiser they might actually cover my panniectomy. If I add $2,000 I can upgrade to a full tummy tuck in Los Angeles through Kaiser. So my doctor says he will send all my paperwork and referral in late January. Who knows this might be a crazy battle!

So many things to consider, the sad thing is that I am convinced that Dr S will give me far better results.... I know some may disagree but he does sooo many of them it is his specialty.

OK well I loved sharing all of that, One day before summer I will have my work done. If that means sneaking of so be it. I have 70% of the money all I need is secure child care.

Katie,

You look amazing!  I know the swelling is so hard to deal with, but it WILL get better.  I still swell a lot by the end of the day, and I am 10 weeks post op.  The back swelling really made me feel huge and like a marshmellow, but it is finally getting better.

So sorry to hear about your mom and you!  The non surgical part is hard, and I completely know what you are saying.  Depending on the swelling, I still get the post op blues a little. BUT, I look back at my preop pictures, and then I realize how far I have come.

Again, you are beautiful and look fantastic!

Katie, I really think you look awesome! The girlies are perfect! I think Dr S did a great job on you. Dr S says at about 3 months we should see 85-90% of our results so you have lots of time for the changes you are looking for. About the thighs...I knew I would look at my thighs and be upset I didn't do them once everything else was fixed so thats why I went for it. I knew I didn't want any other surgeries in the near future.

Yeah Tammy, I knew i had to get the thighs done for sure. I had them scheduled to be done here though. I didn't have any after care at home and with the complication rate, I was worried. Plus, the local surgeon is an expert with it, and I needed to get rid of some fat first. Dr. S recommends me getting the TL in a year after the lipo is final. Anyway, I can't wait! I'll probably end up back in Monterrey.

Congrats on your surgery! You're definately on the mend!

Your scar is healing beautifully. I know the swelling is discouraging but it will pass. You look fantastic!
