Question ......
I had BA and LBL/TT about 6 weeks ago I did not have a lot of loose skin more wrinkled than sagging or hanging they only removed about 2 lbs. Since then I have continued to lose weight, not wanting to mind you I am trying to stabalize but I have lost another 8 lbs and now I am noticing that the skin on my stomach is not as tight as it was after surgery and I can actaully grab acouple inches and pull it tight. So my questions is..... Has anyone else experienced this and wil it tighten back up, is there some excercise that will help/ I don't want to have spent all this money and still want to do more. My husband just asked me l;ast nite will I ever be happy? I truly want to be happy but after spending all that money I just ant it to be perfect am I being too hard? P know I am 10 thousand times better than I was a year ago.
Thanks for any input.

I think you'll be fine- the skin will always "loosen" after a TT, otherwise you wouldn't be able to do normal things like sleep on your stomach. AS far as losing a lot though, it can affect your results. Were you weight stable before your surgery? What are you doing to maintain? Your body needs a lot of calories to heal, so if you're eating what you were pre-plastics, you're not getting enough calories to sustain the healing process which is why you're losing.

As your swelling goes you might notice a small amount of loosening but I don't think it is usually very much......I wouldn't think you could pinch a couple inches (but maybe I'm wrong).
The other thing is.....did you have a "traditional TT" or an "Anchor Cut"? IF you had loose skin over the belly button and on the sides the only way to really get that tight is with the anchor cut.
I know exactly what you mean about wanting to be perfect after spending all this money and all the time and pain.....yikes we do put ourselves thru a lot. I often have to remind myself that at some point I have to say it's all good or good enough. I'm not 20, I'm not a model, but I am a very healthy woman who has a tighter/firmer body than most so I am happy.
FYI - If I were you I'd wait till you get a few more weeks out because your body is still healing and changing...things might look a little different at the 2 and 3 month mark. If you still feel there is too much skin left you can always discuss a revision with your surgeon. A good surgeon is always willing to discuss revisions because they want you to be a happy customer.
Hang in there and let your body heal some more before you decide you are not happy.

TT do loosen, especially for bypass patients. I just had a TT revision to pull it one more time on Wednesday and she said it will still loosen a little. I am having to align my minds eye with the reality of what perfection actually means to me.....I am a 1000x better than I used to be. Unfortunately there will always be the scars of who I was at 250 via stretch marks, skin relaxing, etc....and $28,000 later, I get it and I accept it ...I finally accept me for the new perfection I have obtained....don't be too hard on your self!!!

I have some loose skin still but again I chose not to have the anchor cut. When I'm laying flat it's fine but when I sit up then I can see it. I'm hoping that it will tighten up some w/ exercise but from where I was at I'm happy. I look at other people who haven't had the weight isssues and we look so much better than they do. Just go to the beach sometime and look at some of the women wearing bikini's and you'll see that you are now better than average.
