Brachioplasty yesterday
It went well and I only have a little pain. I feel like a mummy. My underarms are the only parts that hurt. I think he got agressive getting my little pocket of back fat. Also, they're the part that bends, so I'm not surprised.
When will I get a little range of motion back? I'm scared to move too much. I don't want anything to rip open. Thanks!!

Hi Laura,
Glad it went well!
The armpits were the worst for me too.....no real pain in the rest of the arms but the pits hurt.
I was VERY cautious because I did not want the incision to split. My range of motion started to come back about week 3 but I did not get my full range and reach until week 6. Arms do not hurt much but they are slow at healing and can easily be over stretched.
Best wishes on your recovery!
Ruth

you will get more range of motion when he takes out your drains and replaces your ace bandages with the compression garments,
I was done on a Monday , my post-op visit was wednesday when he removed drains and ace bandages and then he said I could drive, at first it hurt to raise my arms but after 3 wekks I can reach up.
you won't rip open, i know it feels like you will but you wont. I was cut frm my elbow down past my arm pit and that is where it is most sore my arm pit from my elbow up I can lean on it and the incision is perfect
it just takes time
