I am scheduled for TT on this coming Wednesday the 23rd and I am Freaking out. When I started my consultations with my plastic surgeon I was about 10lbs from my goal weight since then a lot has happened (5months) My father went into the hospital and I quit smoking. Since then I have gained about 12lbs which has put me 20lbs overweight. It is too late for me to cancel my surgery and because I am using saved vacation time for my recovery at home rescheduling would not be an option as I will lose the time at the end of this year.I am very worried about my results. I have started to get back into my workout routines, which I had stopped to spend the time with my Dad, but I am worried that if I lose weight after the surgery will I be a flabby mess again? Had anybody had any experience with having the tt a bit over their goal weight?

Losing weight after surgery can cause some skin sagging again that's why surgeons want you at goal and stable for a few months.

You can call your surgeon and just explain that your father has been ill/hospitalized and you'd like to postpone the surgery for 1 or  2 months.  That will give you time to drop a few mins....  They might agree to it but you'll never know if you don't call.  I'd call today because you are very close to surgery time.

I wish I could but because my time off will not be covered I have to use vacation that I saved up and then use some that I get at the beginning of the new year. If I do not use the time for this year I will lose it and it will take me two more years to save that kind of time again.

I don't think 10 lbs either way is going to make much of a noticeable difference.  Don't sweat the small stuff.

I miss understood your original message.I thought you were asking "if it is too late" to ask the surgeon to postpone it.

I hope everything works out for you and you have an easy recovery.
