Anchor Cut Panniculectomy?
Was the last appt your pre-op appt? I know I met with a couple of surgeons a couple of times to discuss things in more detail after I had new questions. Your surgeon shouldn't have any problems with you scheduling an appt to meet with you to discuss your concerns. You don't want to go into surgery with any doubts. You should be comfortable with your decision and your surgeon.
Good luck,
Melissa

I agree with Melissa.......call your surgeon and let them know you want to discuss the benefits to doing an Anchor Cut. I'm sure they will have no problem. In a pinch I've discussed questions with my surgeon's nurse....she is there for all the procedures and consultations and can answer most questions. At least you can get some info while you wait for your surgeon to return.
Best advice I can give you is LISTEN TO YOUR GUT. If you have doubts you need to get answers so you are 100% comfortable with your decision. You don't want to look back and say "what if" or "I wish..." Early on I did not listen to my gut and have regretted that surgery decision ever since. Now I do not do any surgery stuff unless I am 100% confident and comfortable.
Best wishes on your journey.

IMHO....
While you are going under the knife anyway, find a way to get the $$$$ to do the upgrade.
You already KNOW you want it.
If it is just the money, borrow it. Try one of the companies that lend $$$ specifically for medical procedures like:
www.carecredit.com
www.cosmeticredit.com
There are others. Carecredit even has a 18 month same as cash plan going on right now I think (if memory serves). And you know INSTANTLY (like seriously right that minute after filling it out online) where or not you are approved and for how much. Then they send you the visa card within a week.
The last think you want to do is miss out and wish you could go back. This really sounds like something you will totally regret if you don't do it. (But maybe that's just a tone I'm reading in your post?)
Good luck either way!

Thanks everyone - I'm hoping to talk to my dad this weekend and plead my case specifically to my step-mom since she's had gastric bypass AND PS so she knows how I feel. I'm crossing fingers!!!
