Holy swelling Batman!

I'm just whinning but I got my period this morning and holy bloating/swelling Batman.  I have been doing really well since my LBL & BL two weeks ago, very little pain or swelling so imagine my shock this morning when I took off my binder and I suddenly look pregnant.   And to top it all off I'm supposed to get my drains taken out today at 4pm.

I've spent a good part of my morning, drinking water like a mad woman, walking around to get the fluids going, rubbing my belling area, peeing and re-adjusting my binder.

Oh the joys of being a woman, at least I get to enjoy Christmas and New Years......lolo

I am two weeks out (yesterday) from my TT and don't have the monthly thing going on. I too took off my binder last night and looked quite pregnant. Today I am trying to stay off my feet, I was on the go all day yesterday and paid for it with all the swelling.

I'm 2 weeks out too (yesterday) and I am right with you!  Swelling to the MAX!  I unfortunately had that monthly thing last week at one week post op and it was absolutely dreadful!  I'm still trying to lose that excess fluid!  I'm drinking lots of water today and keeping my feet up!

Ice packs on wrapped in a kitchen towel placed under you binder can help with swelling.
Laying down and elevating the feet helps (especially if you combine with the ice-pack)
Plain Green Tea with a splash of lemon helps me to reduce fluid.

Hope these tips help......
