Pain in the butt after LBL
I just had a regular, ordinary lower body lift - no implants. My tail bone area had been sore for many years but I was getting over it and for the past year I had been able to sit. Since surgery a month ago, I have not been able to sit without pain in that area again. Did anyone else get a sore bum after the LBL?
Thanks
L.

You are singing my song!
I've had many surgeries and this one has knocked me for a loop the hardest.
Two weeks ago had a LBL w/butt lift and augmentation to the butt (not an implant, my own tissue was used...I had no lipo). My butt is SO SORE.....I think the longest I can sit with minimal discomfort is about an hour.
I'm sure it will get better for both of us.........soon I hope!
Have you discussed it with your Dr?

I was wondering if your pain was similar?
Because it felt like something I had before, I didn't ask him about it. It wasn't until I started reading on here about people having sore bums that I thought the pain might actually be a result of the surgery. I'm not sure how much was actually lifted - it doesn't look any different than it did before. So I was hoping to find out if it was normal to have this tail bone area pain. When I first got it many years ago, it was something I just woke up with - I thought maybe I had been sleep walking and fallen on my butt. It has taken years of chirpractic work and I was finally starting to be able to sit instead of lay on the couch to watch tv. Now I'm back to lying instead of sitting. But moving from the lying to sitting position is hurting too.
I too hope it does go away - soon.

My pain is not at the tailbone....it's in the deep tissue of the "cheeks".
Did you have any lipo to your butt or to your back/flanks? That could be causing pain you feel in the tailbone area.
Sure hope you get relief soon!
