Family is trying to talk me into breast implants as well as a lift!
I have been curious about breast implants, but after doing a little research I originally decided against them. Reason being, I am a little bit uncomfortable with the idea with having foreign objects in my body, espeically when they aren't "permanent." I have read that implants all break and eventually must be replaced. I don't know how true that statement is, but I dont know if I should be taking chances that I will have to add on additional plastic surgery when I'm barely scraping together the fund to pay for the first surgery to begin with.
Many people I've talked to believe that if I'm already going to putting myself through the surgery of a breast lift, I should go ahead and get implants too. I have some volume to my breasts but I'm not exact sure how they will end up after a breast lift... I've never really seen them up in the right place, so who knows if I will require implants or not.
The things I really want out of breast surgery are for them to be natural-looking and more firm. I want to be capable to go outside to get the mail without have to put a bra on. i dont care if they are all that big - I'm am very short, so they cant be too big without making me look fat.
Does anyone have anything to say about whether or not they think breast lift + implants would be a better idea than just the lift alone?

When I first started looking into plastic surgery I knew that I wanted my breasts done and was not sure if that meant implants or not. When I went for my consults with different surgeons they all told me that they were able to do a breast lift while keeping me at the same size. Well 2 weeks ago I had a breast lift, the girls are up and at attention, with no implants. They are small real D's and they are spectacular!
I personally think that when you see surgeons let them know that you are uncomfortable witth implants and if you can still get the results you desire with just a lift. You can also ask about using your own tissue to add volume.
The best advice is pick a good surgeon, nothing beats someone with skill, talent and experience.
Good Luck,

I had the lift but w/ implants. I went from a DD to a B and realy didn't have much volume or tissue left. After the lift the Dr. said I would maybe be a B (I think I would have been smaller than that) but no roundness at the top b/c there was no volume. I told him I wanted something natural that fit w/ my body type. I got 275cc or something like that and am a full C now. I love them and after 7 weeks are starting to feel natural & not like something foreign in my body. Everyone is different w/ what they want w/ their results. I didn't want to be a B or less, just didn't think it would look right on my body. But if you are comfortable w/ it and the size your Dr. says you may end up being w/ just the lift, go for it. Don't let anyone talk you into something you don't want to do. Worst case, you do the lift now and can go and have implants later if you don't like how they look w/ just the lift.
