Are you have augmentation with the Butt Lift part of your LBL? If so I'd say no. I'll be 2 weeks tomorrow and there is NO WAY I could sit for 8 hrs straight. My butt is so sore and still swollen
If you are having any lipo in your butt or back you might still be very sore at 2 weeks. I did not have lipo to back but I hear it is very painful...
So far as the tummy tuck part yes I think I could have gone back to work after 2 weeks after just the TT.
Hope that helps.....

I had a LBL 2 weeks ago and I would be able to go back to a desk job. I think each person is different in their recovery and pain tolerance. For me, my age, overall health and fitness level have helped with my recovery and I think that is why I am doing so well. Don't get me wrong, I won't be doing the Ironman anytime soon but I could easily sit at a desk and work.
In all honesty, you would have to have the surgery and see how you feel as the days go on before you make that decision. Follow the surgeons directions, be active within reason, have the right frame of mind at take it day by day.
Good Luck,
Alana

I went back to work 4 weeks after my LBL. I was super tired the first couple weeks and walking very gingerly. However I still had one drain that was in my thigh and that started to cause pain. I can tell you I had very little tolerance for the bs office politics that were going on in the office because of the pain and being tired. If it's possible to have more time off than 2 weeks I would definately take it. You body will need it to recover.

Lots of good advice and opinions so I'll add mine just fyi.....I could not even think about working after 2 weeks....I was at least 3-4 weeks and then started babysitting my then 6 month old grandson. I am 53, so healing may take longer for older gals. Very young and active ones have bounced back really quick, but personally, I think taking a little extra time and babying yourself will feel better and help to prevent any complications from over doing it. Best of luck...
