My insurance company will not cover any kind of breast reduction or lift. They will cover for reconstruction though. I'm thinking that when I am done losing weight I will be left with just skin since I'm rapidly deflating now. Do you think this could be considered as more of a reconstructive procedure and I could get insurance approval? I also have a huge disparity in size between breasts and have seen this problem fixed and called a reconstruction. Thanks.

When I filled out my SDI paperwork I called my PS reconstructive surgery rather than Plastics. I think plastics after major weightloss is considered reconstructive...its all about how its worded.

You would have to check your policy for specifics but I know that I've seen mentioned on here that most insurance companies require a certain amount of tissue to be removed with a reduction for it to be covered.
