how long did your thighs drain

I am only on day two but my drains are barely doing anything. Should I be worried? I do not get them removed until the 21st. Is it ok to keep them even if you are not draining? My eyes are giving me a fit today. The gel I have to put on gets in my eyes and blurs my vision. I haven't looked under my bandages on my thighs yet, I will change the dressing tomorrow.

I had 7 drains total and they were all out by my 9th day out (LBL/BL/BA/VTL/BRACHIO) Once our drains were putting out less than (I think it was..)30cc in 24 hours, out they came.

I had no leaking or seepage from any areas except one arm, and even that was minimal...just one day.

I am surprised your drains come out by date rather than function, but I guess doctors do things differently. Also, I guess some people drain alot more than others. Mine did their thing and came out, and others in Mex with me went home with drains that put ouf for many many days after their return. Such is the way of individuality.

As always tho...if something concerns you, it is always ok to call the doc and ask. I am sure everything is fine tho, Hazmat.

I hope your eyes ease up on you. That sounds like a drag.

Hoping for a quick healing,

Soapy

If I were you I'd call the surgeon and let them know.  If you have a clog they can clear it before it's too late.  If you wait and have a clog you can form a nasty hematoms.......... I know, I've just gone through a few days of a clogged drain.
Just call the surgeon and let them decide what to do....

Usually, thighs (medial thigh lift) does not drain that much, and they come out after a few days or a week.  I  had mine 5 weeks.  I drain A LOT!  It really depends.  Call your doctor and let him know.  The drains may be clogged.  They won't want to leave them in if they are truly not producing.  I'm surprised that you don't go bac****il the 21st.  That's quite a while.  I had visits at 2 days then at 7 days, then weekly unless I needed to come in more.  Don't be afraid to let the doctor know what is happening.

the distance to the doctor is why I will have my drains so long. They are producing a little so I do not think they are clogged, There is just a very small amount. I am beginning to hurt more now, I guess that is because I am moving more,My eyes are still swollen and bruised  and the medicine for them clouds my vision and I feel like I am going blind, Its like looking thru Vaseline, My DH says they look better this morning. Today is dressing change for the thighs and I am not looking forward to that. I better see some good results when this is over.

I had my drains from my MTL less than a week. I think they were removed at day 4 or 5 and they never really drained much at all. I was very happy since I had the drains from my LBL for 4-6 weeks.

My thigh drains averaged 10ml in 24 hours.
