Anyone have the gummy 410 type implants?

Anyone out there have the new 410 cohesive gummy bear silicone implants (big in europe, prob in Mexico, they are still in the FDA trails in the states - so bigger cities, maybe)?  Please respond if you do have this type and not the other types because this type is VERY different as far as settling goes - it isn't anything like the regular saline or silicone types (from what I've experianced and have been told).

I'm 2 months out and from the first day the breasts were 90% where I wanted them, they didn't look like the other types of implants where a lot of "settling" was necessary. You basically woke up from surgery with the shape they were going to be be after surgery.

Well in the past couple of weeks, my right breast appears to have started to "settle" - by that I mean there seems to be a line about the middle of the breast where its almost like a half cup smaller on the bottom half, larger on the top half with this very distinct "separation" point/line about the level of the middle of the nipple - almost like the bottom is the implant and the top is the softer, natural tissue and the area where they join is clumpy.

Anyone else with this type of implants have this experiance? Does it continue to "settle in"?

Thanks!

Cassandra

I have the gummy implants and I am over 9 weeks out. Mine were very high in the begining and seem to have dropped in place nicely.

Do you massage them?  I massage them everyday and actually move the implant around in it's pocket.  Mine are under the muscle.

I wish I could help you...have you talked to your surgeon?

Curious as to how your will settle out.

My undertsanding is that the implants work best in patients with fairly tight skin covering the breast.  Looser skin can allow too much rotation and malposition of the implant.  The implants aretextured, and designed NOT to move around in the pocket.

So to my view, these implants would not be the first choice in WLS patients with loose skin ???

Dr. Bradley Bengtson, MD, FACS, a lead investigator in the trials here in the U.S.   They have about 8000 patients in their study so far.  I met with them at a meeting a few months ago.

Check the video at 8:38 where he talks about the best candidates for the implants...
