Hi Tammy!
Glad you are healing well.

Have you tried using maxi pads along your incision line?  I find them more comfortable than the gauze....they kind of cushion the area more.

I used the styrofoam cup thing the first couple of days after my recent surgery...it worked well.  I used the LARGE size cups and just pee'd into the cup then dumped it in the bowl....I didn't have to worry about straddling over the toilet.
There is also the "freshette" that works.

When do you go home?

I have maxi-pads but I think they are too thick. I had the nurse tape them on one day and I felt like a sumo wrestler...haha. When I walked I rustled too. It was pretty funny. Patty the nurse said 'yes' or 'no'?? I was like no..... I go home on the 18th so I should be good by then I hope. It will be 14 days here.

Hi Tammy,
glad you are on the mend.  Can't wait to see you at February lunch (January may be too soon for you).  I am starting to get a little nervous since I have my date locked in now.

It will fly by before you know it. I am doing pretty good as I was able to go with the girls for 2 hours at the mall today without issue so I just may be able to make the lunch. We will have to see.

Take care,

Tammy

I got myself something called a freshet which is a funnel type apparatus that allows you to urinate standing up.  my surgery is on Wednesday, and I hope it works.
