I had a LBL in Feb of this year.  I had a few problems with necrosis in my back but other then that, recovery wasn't so bad,

Monday I had a breast lift and extensive Lipo in Back Flanks, sides, abs and arms.  OH MY GOSH I am in so much pain.  I saw the doctor in Thursday and he took off all the wrapes from the surgery and then but me in this LOVELY bodysuit!  Its tight which I guess it is supose to be but man PAIN.

For those of you that have had the Lipo - I understand it hurts and stays sore, but it has gotten worse each day; when should I expect that to stop?

On a good note, by breasts do not hurt, its just the rest of me.

2 Percocets helps ease the pain, but then I can't sleep.  Even tried the ambien, so I emailed the doctor this morning for another options.  What has worked for others when Percocets don't work?

Thanks for any advice and I tell you I could already see a great difference at the doctors on Thursday so its worth it; just have to get through this no so fun time!!

Thanks everyone!  I just also want to say that I LOVE MY SURGEON - Dr. Mitchel Krieger in Fairfax, VA ROCKS!!!!!  He has the best bed side manor I have ever seen in a doctor and even the nurses at the Hospital rave about him.  He is great!

Hi Akers123, yes I too had lipo on my flanks, abs, lower back, and thighs....ouch ouch ouch. I am out 1 week and it has gotten a little better but my back and thighs from lipo are still very sore. I also had butt fat grafting so I know that adds to it all. Good luck and hope it subside for you soon!

I had lipo done with my brachioplasty almost 8 weeks ago. I also had an inner thigh lift at the same time. I didn't notice much feeling in my arms right away. Then after a week or so it's like they woke up and I really noticed how sore they were. They are still sore today but much better. The lipo really does a number on you. I still have bruising 8 weeks later.

My surgeon prescribes a low dose of Xanax to take if you are having difficulty sleeping. It works like a charm for me. You could ask your surgeon what he recommends.

I hope your healing contiues to go well. Hang in there, it will get better!

I had lipo on my waist with my tummy tuck, and I have to say the pain from it was worse, and lasted longer than the abdomnioplasty.  The bruising lasted about 8 wks, but 2 years later, I notice what a wonderful thing the lipo was...the definition of my waist is amazing

Hi!
Yeah Lipo is nasty.  I had it on my arms back in July and my arms are sore in spots and I still have a good deal of numbness along much of the arms.

I just had lipo on my thighs (saddle bags) and honestly the pain in Butt is so bad I don't feel the pain from the lipo.
I've still got precocet left and took one this afternoon (first time in 2 days)....tonight I might take a xanax so I can get a full night sleep.  Sleeping is hard because I can't get totally comfortable on my back or on my side.... Oh well.

So the pain does get less but the soreness and numbness lasts a looooong time.

Best Wishes......
