Had my BL/LBL/butt aug on Monday.   Spent Monday night at the hospital and got home around 3 yesterday.   Moving around a bit better today... although I feel like a 90 year old woman all hunched over!!

My doctor said I could start showering and change my compression garment as soon as I felt like it... maybe tomorrow!!  I'm scared once I take the garment off I won't be able to get the other one on!  I see him on Friday and am hoping he will take out the breast drains since they aren't draining much anyway.....

For those veterans out there when did you start feeling human again and walking upright??

I felt pretty good after about four days.  I was hunched over for a while, though - maybe a week.  Be very careful about bending (like to feed the cat).  There's a point near your butt crack where the incision can become easily separated - and you don't want a wound separation there.  I spent the first two weeks in the Lazboy recliner - day and night.  When my last drain came out, on the 13th day, I was more than ready to go back to work.

Make sure the compression garment is the correct size.  I was in a small at first, and he changed me into a medium - it made a big difference in the comfort level.

Good luck.

OK so after 2 weeks you felt good?  I am only taking 2 weeks off from work - but have a desk job so when I go back I won't over do it - maybe sleeping and leave early though

Hey there. I am 4 days post op and I felt sooo much better by day 3 and today is good too. I am feeling blue today but not pain related. So be aware you may be emotional your first week! Hopefully not.
