a few second thoughts
I am scheduled for Friday morning and I am starting to wonder if I made a wise choice. I am having my thighs and my eyes done. Weird combo I know but the bags under my eyes are driving me crazy and I want to wear shorts/bathing suit next summer. I can't hide the thighs then. I have heard they are the worst as far a recovery so I wanted to get it over with. I wonder if anyone regrets having the thighs done. Did you have a noticeable difference? I am worried about the money I spent I guess I am just scared the recovery will take too long and I won't be happy with the results. How long will it take to feel normal again?
Of all my surgeries (BL, BA, Arms, LBL, Thighs, lipo) my thighs show the biggest difference to ME - sure, my tummy looks wonderful on pics, and it is...but my self esteem is SOOoooo much better in regards to my thighs. My thighs were my biggest issue as they were clumpy, saggy, and where I carried all my weight. Now they are smooth and "normal" size in relation to the rest of me. Do I have scars? Sure - all the way to my knees. Do they bother me? Hell no! (I'd trade them any day for the thigh shape I have now!)
The question is - what is YOUR biggest issue? Is it your eyes? Your thighs? whatever it is, that is what you should focus on getting done. If it's just a "sure, it could look BETTER" than you can prob wait - ANYTHING can always look BETTER, but is it "good enough for now" or does it really give you heartache and concern? Only you can decide.

to tell you the truth I had it all done and my thighs were painful for the the first 3 days and then each hour they felt better . I had a raised toilet seat which I think helped a lot. It is very noticable would I do it agin YES. am I sorry I had it done NO. I always had nice legs even at 270 but when I lost all my weight my legs were so bad I would never wear shorts agin if I didn't get my thighs done

Thanks for responding. I do think the trade off from saggy wrinkles to a scar will be worth it. I have scars already from knee replacements so I can handle the scars. I am mostly thinking about what to do next right now. Keeps my mind off of Friday. The more I look at my body the more I see that needs fixing. Yes I am scared about surgery mostly because I lost a good friend in October after her tummy tuck. She was only 35 and it was a blood clot. I know it was unusual but she wasn't thinking it would happen to her. I am trying to be optimistic. Its paid for so no way will I back out.
I am so sorry to hear you lost a friend after her surgery and it certainly explains your concern. The risks for this kind of surgery are fairly low, but with any procedure, risks are present. You have to weigh the pros and cons and decide if it is worth it for you.
Make sure you disclose all health issues to your surgeon. I suspect some of the PS deaths that occur just might have to do with the patient wanting to improve their appearance so badly they dont mention heart problems...other health issues, whatever because they dont want the doctor to turn them down. (I think that is what happened to Kanye West's mom...she had a cardiac issue that she did not mention. I read this in the paper)
Again, if you are in good health, the risks are low, the rewards are great. But only you can make that decison.
I had no qualms...I just jumped in head first and have no regrets. Looking good, too!!
I suspect you will make the right decision and do well....and look great. Good luck, Honey!!

I can't wait to get my inner thighs done. This has been my biggest problem and I believe I'll see the biggest improvement after getting the Inner Thighs done.
I hear it's painful but the bad pain is only a few days, maybe a week and after that it will be all good going forward!!
Best wishes to you on your surgery and your recovery!!!
