anyone rent a "lift" chair after tummy tuck
I rented a lift chair and it was a godsend! You don't realize how helpful it is until you have one. Sure I could have managed without one but it was wonderful having the chair lift you almost to an upright position. You also don't have to get down low to sit either. I slept in mine for 2 weeks as well. I didn't need help getting in or out of it so that was nice. I'm all for making things as easy as possible!
I also shopped around for the lift recliner. There were more options in a medical supply store than at rentacenter. I sat in all of them until I found the one that was the most comfortable for my height. The other poster is right in that they don't all recline the same. The one I got reclined almost to a lying down position.

I actually borrowed one for my TT this past Friday (dec 4). I have two other recliners in the house. To be honest, I don't like the lift chair and still sleep/sit on our older recliner. It's just more comfortable to me. The lift chair seemed to hurt my back for some reason. I also think that once I realized that the trick for me was to stay bent over and pivot out of the chair, I was good to go. Everyone's different though and I actually borrowed the chair based on high recommendations from lurking on this board.
I'm still sleeping in the recliner. It's just more comfortable...no pull like if I were laying down. Also, I'm a side sleeper and that's a no-no with these drains.
