And I think it was from some fluid that was being pumped into her butt implants that escaped.

I hadn't read that. I don't know much about butt implants - but I have been concerned about the lipo I will be having ~ can it escape? And go where??

I'm glad you started this thread - I will be adding that to my list of questions for my PS.

Tamera.....I have been to Monterrey twice with Dr Sauceda and he said if something arose that could not be handled I would be taken to the hospital nearby. Like Soapy said you will have discomfort and maybe some pain but Dr S wil take good care of you. Just let him know and he will make sure you have pain meds to make you comfortable. I had liposuction and for me, I found it to be no more painful or uncomfortable then the rest of my procedures. But I do understand that we all have different threshholds.

My experienceis, I trust Dr S and know that if an emergency were to arise that he would ensure that I had the best care available just as he has taken care of me himself.

God speed on your upcoming surgery.

Yes nurse practitioner. The doctor I was checking into in Utah was 10 miles from a hospital even though he had a crash cart etc in the surgical room.

It really is all a crap shoot. You do the research, talk to the Dr.'s, pray and hope for the best.

Did anyone buy extra insurance just in case you had to go to the hospital down there?   And what kind of insurance would that be?

Interesting, I wonder if travel insurance would cover?
