it will be a few months at least until I get any PS but my question is, I am planning on moving from where I am, to live by myself with my dog, a 90 pound dog, can you recover from a LBL and a breast lift on your own or do you need help?

Depends. I was happy with going to Mexico because for the two weeks that i was there, the nurse helped me with showering, my compression garment, etc. That being said, I didn't need 24 hour care by any means.

You won't be able to bend over for about 5 days, and then you will do it very carefully. You will need help showering for the first few days, and getting into your compresion garment for about 10 days. Hopefully your dog doesn't jump or sleep on you, and you won't be able to walk him/her. Otherwise, you should get a long okay with the occasional visitor.

Best of luck!

For me the breast reduction and lift was a piece of cake...no help needed.

The Tummy Tuck, I needed help the first couple of days.  Also, if you plan on walking your dog you might have trouble....you can't lift anything heavier than a gallon of milk for a while...never mind walking a 90 dog.  BTW, do you walk the dog or does he walk you???? That's one big dog!!

Best wishes

You will need help.  That's the bottom line.  You might do OK with a BL on your own without the dog to walk and care for.
There is no way after the body lift.  Most of the time you will be home in 24 to 48 hours and will need someone there to help you.

I know you will prolly need help Char....but will he actually be helpful?  Some of your posts make a girl think he will use the situation not to your benefit...is there a possibility of a part time in home care or nurse if you were on your own?  Worried about ya girlie!
