Dr. L - ? breast auto augmentation
I've had a few people PM me to ask about auto augmentation instead of implants and want to know more about this as an option. I was hoping maybe you could better explain how it is done, why it might be done and the expected results.
I had auto aug because my HMO paid for the lift, and their policy is that they only use implants for breast reconstruction post breast disease. I didn't want to be an A cup and my surgeon didn't want to leave me that way, and opted to do auto aug in a size that suited my frame and told me that I could do implants later elsewhere, but gave me reasons why I might not want to do that. I know that it isn't want some would want, but it does work for me. I would like more fullness at the top, but have decided to just leave things as they are.
Would you mind going over the pros and cons?
Thanks so much -

Also, my surgeon could not use implants due to the policy of my HMO, so with all that in mind, I'm pretty happy. It's good to know there is an option in these kinds of cases.

I don't want an implant and will be asking my surgeon what he suggests for filling them out again.
