Congrats to you for your upcoming surgery!  How exciting.  I think your work will depend a lot on what you do at your job.  Do you have to do any lifting?

Also with the pee funnel, My garment had a hole big enough that I could pee and poop without getting any on it.  I was able to sit down on the seat with no problems.  Although for the first 9 days I had a medical lifted seat.

Yes - they said the garment has a big enough place, but that when you pee it can run to the back or side and catch the garment - and since I can't take the garment off for the first 7-8 days, I have to be extra careful not to soil it - thus the funnel.  And I will have a raised seat to use as well : )

My job - well I am an educational audiologist - I work in the public schools and take care of the children with temporary or permanent hearing loss - so I travel to about 34+ schools and check on their hearing aids to be sure they are working, or do hearing screenings, or check the FM equipment (assistive listening technology that makes the teachers voice louder for the children), etc.  I do have a fair amount of desk/computer work as well.  I will be off about 3 1/2 weeks for sure (Christmas break), but am scheduled to go back January 4.  Dr. Dry says 3 weeks off, but I don't know if I'll be able to go back full time right away.  Guess I need to just take it a day at a time.  Thank good ness I have plenty sick time.

Thanks for the info!  It is always nice to hear from others who have gone through the same thing.
