In the beginning stages of my ps journey
One year ago I never thought this possible. I was over 300 pounds and all my sights were on losing weight, not necessarily how I would look after I had reached that goal.
I am now what I feel a good healthy weight. I am 5'9 and 175. My whole body structure has always been large (feet and hands are good indicators of that!) I feel great. I am in a size 10 jeans and size M tops. My goal weight is actually 10 pounds away but I feel given my size and height etc I am happy this way so if I lose another 10 pounds great....if not I am fine.
3 months ago I had a breast reduction. I was having severe problems with my back and neck being sore because as I was losing, my breasts were staying the same. I had went from a 46DDD to a 38H. I am now in a 36D and so happy with my new pair! That was paid 100% with insurance since there were medical reasons for the surgery.
As I was losing I thought my main concern would be that I would need a TT. Now that I am there, I have noticed that my tummy may look like hell with my clothes off but with my clothes on I do not need any special garments to make it look flatter or better in clothing. It looks fine. I am married and the only person to see my stomach other than myself is him. Even if I had a TT I am not the type of person who would be exposing my abdomen anyway so I figured why go through the pain and expense. How many of you felt this way but changed your mind later?
What I am sooooo concerned about is my thighs. They look so bad. How long do you wait before you consider doing surgery? I have a PS consult with Dr Leverett in Phoenix tomorrow. He did work on my son and I really liked him. Is it too soon to be considering surgery? Hopefully I will find out tomorrow how much it would cost to fix that area but in general how much less would it be to have surgery in Mexico vs here in the States?

Hi, Nora!! Not sure about just the cost of thighs, but I'm sure someone will chime in here. I do know that here with the plastic surgeon I consulted with, my LBL would cost around $10,000. In Mexico, I can get a LBL, BL/BA, and thigh lift for about the same cost. It's a no-brainer for me. When I'm ready for my big surgery, I'll be going to Mexico. But I am getting my brachioplasty done here in December and can't wait!!

I've been at goal a few weeks now, but have been pretty close for about a month (and I keep changing my goal weight). The doctor did not ask about my goal weight or anything. My arms are pretty thin so i don't think it would make a difference there if i lose a few more. I haven't worn even short sleeved shirts in years- they're always at least 3/4 length sleeves. I want to wear cute halter tops in the spring. Woo hoo!!

My thighs really look worse than my stomach which was a surprise to me because I thought I carried more extra weight in my stomach.
I received a package price from Dr. S for LBL, thighs, Arm and lower face lift for 16,600. One PS I consulted with wanted 27, 000 for the LBL.
I just made goal, but have no further fat on my body to lose. I wanted them to take the fat and add to my butt, but he said there wasn't going to be any to add. Since I've been within 3 lbs of this weight since September, I feel comfortable having surgery in January. I sure do not want to lose any more and do not plan to gain, so will have been stable for about 4 months by the time I have surgery.
