Hello!  I am just looking for information.  If you got a hip to hip tummy tuck opposed to an anchor, can you tell me if you are happy with the results????

Thanks so much!

I let my PS make the decision as to the cut for my TT.  He told me going in that an anchor cut was a possibility.  I ended up having an extended hip to hip cut - he decided during surgery after he saw how much skin there was to be taken off.  I am three weeks out today and so far I am happy with the results.  For me, the result (tight and flat) outweighed the type of the scar left behind.

I had an extended tummy tuck almost three months ago and I am very happy with my results.  I actually wanted an anchor tummy tuck, but my surgeon assured me he could give me the results I wanted without the scar.  I trusted him and I am glad I did not have the anchor cut.

Thank you very much for the response.  I questioned about the anchor, because I am reading alot about the anchor cuts on OH, but she said she was doing hip to hip and she said I would get the results I want.  I just guess I wanted reassurance from others that have had the hip to hip.

Thank you!

Hey Missy, you are in the best hands possible in my opinion. Your surgeon is one of the best Michigan has to offer.

Did Dr. Bryan do her surgery also? I still have quite a ways to go. I'm still losing weight. I weigh 215 right now, want to lose another 50lbs. Dr. Bryan and Dr. Youn are my two top picks.

I am going to Dr. Bryan, I saw Anjails pictures and thought she looked amazing, I have been pm'ing her back and forth asking questions.  Anjail has been very, very helpful to me.  I am so happy to hear how thrilled she was with Dr. Bryan!!

My understanding is the anchor vertical down the stomach and horizontal at the bottom.

I just had a hip to hip TT on Monday and I had a large muffin top above my belly button.  Everything turned out well and I am thrilled, but I would have ended up a lot tighter and thinner if I had gone with the anchor.  If I had not had so much hanging skin above my belly button, I think it would have turned out fantastic.  My insurance covered the surgery and it is such an improvement already - hopefully I won't regret not having the anchor cut too much!  If you are paying and it's not too much more, (and you don't mind the scar), I would go for the Anchor.
