I've Made My Decision ~ COSTA RICA!!

After all my research - numerous e-mails to many PS & facilities I have made the descision to have my procedures done in Cost Rica by Dr. Rashi & Dr. Cohen at the Rosenstock Clinic. Then I will spend 14 days at a Recovery Inn call CheTica Ranch!!

I feel great about finally making a descsion - now I just need to firm up the dates (tee-hee)

Most likely I will have the procedures done the last week of May next year. Just 6 short months to prepare.

Wow - congratulations on making your decision. And such a nice locale! I hope you recover quickly so you will be able to get out and see some of the area.

There are 3 DSers from our San Jose support group there right now (one now from Iowa, but he used to be part of our group). One of them is a retired surgeon who is there for her second round of surgeries. I had a consult with them last year, and I would happily have gone with them if I had not had my little windfall that allowed me to stay in the US and use Agha.

Okay, when I first saw the post yesterday I forgot what board I was in and thought, "Somebody's going to Costa Rica for vacation!

I wish I could go there." Then I opened the post...

Nope - no vacation . . .maybe next time!! If wasn't having 2 procedures done at the same time - maybe. I plan on havng surgery the day after we fly in - then fly home 14 days later.

I want to hear all about your adventure. Are you going to post any pictures??

I have already started a file on my PC. It has BEFORE weight loss (not so good) after weight loss - then the photos I sent to the PS.

Looking so forward to have those pictures that say "2 months after TT"!!

OMG ~ I AM HAVING THE BEST DAY!!

The PS's in Costa Rica have scheduled my 2 procedures - May 25th at 8 am!! YIKES!! I HAVE A DATE!!

My PCP here in town has e-mailed me that she will support me 100 % in this journey. She'll order the pre-op lab tets, EKG - COMPLETE THE DISABILITY PAPER WORK FOR ME and will see me post-op as well!!

I am so excited I am bouncing off the walls!!
