Tummy Tuck Question...

I was just wondering for the people who had a full tummy tuck.....how many inches did you loose and how many pant sizes did you go down? Thanks

I was a size 8 prior to tummy tuck. Now I am wearing 6's and even some 4's. I don't know how many inches I actually lost. Since having my tummy tuck, breast lift, arm lift and inner thigh lift, I have lost an additional 11 pounds.

I am almost 5 weeks post op lower body lift, and so far I am down 6 inches in my waist 2 inches in my bra band, and 4 inches in my hips.  I was an 8 before surgery, and now I am wearing 6's and 4's.  I still have a lot of swelling too, so I am anxious to see what I will end up.

That is AWESOME Jessica. I am hoping for an 8 (12 right now because of my tummy. I need to remember to measure. I didn't do that before WLS. So you gained weight due to swelling but still lost inches? WOW.

Dr S took 3 lbs of skin and 6 lbs of lipo, but he transferred about 3 lbs back in to my butt (700CC in each butt cheek) and my implants are 400CC each.  From what I have gathered, 500CC is about  1lb, so I should have lost about 4 to 5 lbs after all is said and done.  I am still 160 as of today, but I have been as low as 157 .  I weighed 157 right after I got home from my flight, and I was REALLY swollen!  I am hoping to be at least 150-155 when it all settles, but I would love to be 140!  

My back is the most swollen, and I know that is still adding inches on to my waist.  I hope to have a 27-28 inch waist when all the swelling is gone. 

With the tummy tuck well all tuck type surgeries, how much pain is there involved?  I talked with a guy at my surgeon's office and he indicated that the pain was much worse with the tummy tuck than with RNY.

Hey Chad, For me the Tummy Tuck well I should actually say the LIPO was waaaayyyy worse than my RNY. LIPO is a mutha#@$@% and it hurt the heck out of me. I'm two months out an still hurt from the lipo on my sides some days. So with this said my tt hurt worse only because of the lipo.

I'm pre-op too and have been wondering this myself.  I'm currently a 2-4, so i have NO idea what this will do for me.  I honestly don't think I'll lose any sizes because when I went to my consult last Sat and asked about lipo he told me it was all skin.... there wasn't anything there to lipo, so we'll see.  I know I'll lose some from my stomach with the tightening because I'm "poochy"..  I don't think my total skin will total more than 3 lbs... and that's for all procedures...

It will all depend I suppose on how much skin you have and if you need lipo or not.
