I definitely concur. If you are having multiple surgeries done get a wheelchair. Some of the airports of course will probably require you to shuttle to different terminals and have long walks to the gates and you want to have that assistance.
I am Dr Sauceda patient and I would go back to him again and again!
God speed on your journey. Research Research and Research some more.

We love because God first loved us (1John 4:19)
Mark, nothing against DR S ,but I have had several procedures and there is no way I would travel far for the PS. I guess I am lucky in finding one within 30 min that is terrific . You have to make trips back to often for the first 6 weeks for me to even consider going off somewhere .
My surgeon requires you to go back the next day then every week or sometimes twice a week ,,,stitch or staple removal et****il your healed .
Again , nothing against those who choose to travel but I just dont want all that hassel after all that surgery, IT ISNT easy and depending on what you get done, it is HARD ,,,Again am speaking for myself ,
Money wise I feel after the travel and all that goes with it , I just didnt want all the hassel especially if your not feeling well too.
Whatever you choose, wishing you well ..

There is something to be said for having it done locally, no doubt. I just want to explore the option of Mexico. I'm still leaning toward local since I already have a good relationship with the surgeon and his office. Plus the date I have it scheduled for now, allows me to take holidays and vacation time then work from home until I'm ready to return to the office. Basically I wouldn't have to take any unpaid leave.
At any rate, I'm still waiting on a reply from my email.
thanx

I've been corresponding with DrS for a few days. For those interested, here are the questions he's answered for me.
If I were to have the surgery done at your facility what kind of
follow ups would I need to get once I'm back in the States? What kind
of doctor?
-Your PCP can make the follow up, if this is simple like in the most
of the cases, because I will make the follow up by email, and If we
need some help we can ask your PCP to help us .
But if there is something, your regular doctor can not handle, you
have to come back here with me (if so BTW, this has never happen, I
will refund you once again the airfare, and all the attention for
free)
What kind of issues have your patients had with flying after surgery?
-I guess you have to ask my patients about that issues, because I
believe they have had very few.
Have you encountered situations where an in-person exam yielded a
different opinion on the best procedures versus what you saw in
photos?
-Yes, in a very few cases, because I am getting better making
diagnosis by pictures. But anyway, I can change my mind once you're
here.
