Well, if my facelift works out half as well as yours did I will be thrilled. amd if the LBL is no worse than the face and arms in terms of pain and my anxieties about it in the first week, I'll be graterul.

I suppose now I could start getting anxious about months of "swell hell" -- get a jump start on it and all that ...

You can use your arms -- you just walk around like Frankenstein's monster, and keep them propped up on pillows most of the time.  But you can't reach either up or down.  One good thing -- even though my brachioplasty incisions go from elbow to below my armpit, I could wipe myself since the very first days -- that should put your mind significantly at ease!

Yeah, my DH had to do dooty duty for about a week after my DS -- I think he was racking up pay-back or Karma points against any potential future incapacity of his own.
