fleur de lis TT?

I had my first consult with a plastic surgeon and he suggested a Fluer De Lis Tummy Tuck...anyone familiar?  Any advice or input?  I had never heard of this before.

Also - this particular surgeon uses a CRNA instead of a Anesthetist Doctor.  What do you guys think?

I would appreciate any feedback!  Thanks

There are many people on the board who have had the anchor cut TT or fleur de lis TT.  I think a lot depends on where you carry your excess skin as to whether or not you are a good candidate for it.  I knew I wanted the anchor cut LBL before I even went on my consults and all the surgeons agreed.  I carried most of my excess weight in my belly since I was apple shaped and the anchor cut helped give me the best results.  I know most people who have had the anchor cut have been pleased with their results.

I agree - depending on where you have your excess skin - the anchor cut can be a good fix for the muffin top.  I am hoping for good results from mine on Thursday this week!

Is CRNA twilight?  My doc normally does that for procedures in his office, but since I'm doing the anchor cut it will take a bit more time so he is using general - at the hospital.

I also had the fluer de lis. I was apple shaped before losing my weight and had the excess skin above my belly button as well as below. I knew I did not want to be left with the muffin top when I wore jeans and my surgeon said he could really pull that skin in from the sides with the fluer de lis. There's a couple pictures on my profile. I've since had a slight revision to the scars and even more definition to my waist has been created. I've very glad I went with the anchor cut.

Hey Renee, just wondering how your surgery went on your arms and thighs? Can you post pictures when your feeling up to it? I am thinking about the medial thigh lift and would really appreciate your thoughts and some more information. Thank you! Jenny

Hi Jenny,
I plan to post pictures and probably will next week. I will be 4 weeks out from the thigh lift and brachioplasty. My recovery is going well, just slower this time and I feel it's because I had major surgery just 4 months prior. My swelling is going down and the bruising from the lipo is fading. I also had a revision to my tummy tuck so I had a lot done. I'll be sure to post an update when I take the pictures.I know when I was pre-op I looked at as many pictures as I could.

It's basically the anchor cut tt. Yes I've heard of it and had the procedure done. Actually I had the extended fluer de lis. Take a look at my pics. I would go with the fluer de lis all over again. You will love the outcome.

If the CNRA you refer to is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, I would decline myself. Anesthesia is a very crucial part of any surgery and for myself I would ONLY have a Doctor doing that.... and yes, I have confirmed that before my surgery.

Everyone is entitled to their own choice, but that would be mine.

Martha,

Thanks for the advice.  That is what I think also...I was really sold on the surgeon until I found out he uses a CRNA.  It just scares me - he told me I will be under for about 6 hours so shouldn't I be completely protected with a Doctor?

Thanks again.
