Hi there,
I took 3 weeks off but needed much more. I am a teacher and summer break was over. I had a June 13 extended tummy tuck and then I also had my brachioplasty on July 23. If I did it all over, I would have done the brachioplasty first, then tummy tuck.l felt the arm lift was horrible in comparison to the tummy tuck.

Hope this helps!

I am having it done Dec 8th and taking off 3 weeks.  (I am having my arms and a TT done at the same time).

I had my arm lift last Wednesday 11/4 and I'm going back to work on Monday 11/16.  I haven't had any problems - lots of swelling and bruising but that's to be expected.  I was able to take my bandages off the day after surgery and have been able to take shower since then.  I've starting going for short walks and doing Pilates (using my legs only).  Hope your surgery goes as well for you as mine did for me.

Proudauntie,

Congratulations on having your arms done! Did you have them done in Hawaii or did you have to elsewhere?

Thanks,
Ole

Thanks!  I had it done at Kaiser in Honolulu.  I had to pay for it but it was certainly worth it.

I went back to work after a week.  I'm able to be flexible with my schedule so I worked shorter days the first week. I wished I had taken a second week. I was very tired and sore. We use our arms for everything.  Even writing sometimes hurt.
I just had a panni removal and took  10 days this time and I could've gone back after 5 or 6,
Good Luck with your surgery!

I had brach surgery and a revision to my neck done on a Wednesday and went back to work part time on Sunday.  My brach surgery was super easy, it never even swelled, I did pop a stitch in my armpit but that healed in a couple of days.  Neck lift on the other hand sucked, but it didn't stop me from working.  I was lugging a 50lb suitcase through the airport in Chicago a month after my brach surgery.  I was super lucky!!!!
