I arrive on the 14th.  Surgery on the 15th and I head home on the 26th   :)  (well 1/2 way home.  I don't get home till the morning of the 27th)

Thanks, Suzie!! Im  actually not nervous at all. I have full confidence in my surgeon and was just as calm for my DS surgery. I lay on a gurney for 90 minutes in pre-op all by my lonesome and wasnt the least bit scared/nervous/apprehensive. Isnt that odd??

Not odd at all...I wasn't the least bit nervous when I had my RNY, either. It seemed so strange to be so calm at such a life-changing moment. I felt like such an odd duck. The nurse told me it just means I had truly made the right decision and I was completely at peace...she was right.

I hope it happens again for this surgery!

That's funny EGSuzie!  I was the same way when I got my Lap Band.  I woke up early, went grocery shopping and washed my car and then came home and packed my bag for the hospital.  I was just eager to get in there and get my Band placed. 
I think your nurse was right.

I guess I have to agree with the nurse. I do feel I made the right decision...both with the surgery AND the surgeon.

Feeling calm sure beats the "2-week freak" that so many go through.
