I'm 2 weeks out from my brachioplasty and the armpits are the most tender. It's weird because my armpits feel like a web and that restricts the amount of mobility. That is supposed to get better in time. I also notice that the scar feels a little ropey in the pit where the incisions along the arm are flat. Just try to limit your stretching and mine feel better if I keep an ointment like neosporin on them.

Curious as to where the incisions were placed on the individuals with the pain.  I have very few complaints of discomfort after brachioplasty so wondering if its incision-placement ?

My incision is in the typical location along the middle of the inner arm.  I had wanted the incision lower so it wouldn't be as visible but the surgeon wasn't comfortable doing it that way.  I have a Z in my armpit.  My armpit was the most painful part of my brachio.  Because there was so much skin left on my arms (especially my right one)  I will be having my 2nd revision early next year with a new surgeon.  I can't beleive it's taking 3 procedures to get my arms finished!  Oh well!!

I too have the incisions on the inner arms. As I said, the under arms is the worse. The right doesn't bother me nearly as much as the left. the Right under arm is a perfect Z - just like the brochure/pics usually show. I have really good mobility in the Right arm and the only time it bothers me is if I do too much during the day and also first thing in the morning. The left is a lot straighter through the underarm and that's the one that has opened a little and also the arm that I can't move very well. The left arm is the one that feels like it was ripped off my body.

I actually had zero pain in my arms - I didn't have a "Z" incision on my arm pit though, that probably makes a difference.

I would not call the arms painful, just a nuisance.  You need to be careful though.  Too much movement too early is not good, but you don't want to baby them too much, or you risk losing your range of motion.
