Hi Panda,

I am really swollen, but I have been really active and haven't been resting much at all.  I think laying on the couch and watching football is a must for me today.

The drain really and truly did not hurt at all.  I really think the Bactine is what did it.  I do have a very high pain tolerance though.

I appreciate you keeping up with me, and I cannot wait to see the final result either!

You are still looking great Jessica!  I'm sure it feels good to be "drain free"!

Hi Dawn,

Drain free is amazing, and it is so much easier to get around!  I may be swollen, but that will soon pass, hopefully!

I'm sure you feel FREE now with the last drain gone. You remind me of myself... I already told my mom I would probably just take out my own stitches.... I have done that several times.

I will have to remember the Bactine trick though!! I would imagine my boobs will be a little more sensitive than a hand or knee...

You look amazing!!!

Mendee,

Stitches could have easily been done myself, except for the ones around my butt area and under my thighs.  I could have easily done the rest.

Removing the stitches didn't hurt at all, but I think that is because most of my incision sites are still numb.

Thanks!  I know my belly is still really swollen!  I do have some loose skin, but I knew I would because I declined to have the anchor TT.  Dr Sauceda wanted to do one to give me the best result, but I didn't want the scar.  I would rather deal with a little loose skin than have a big scar.  I want to wear a bikini!

I think you look amazing in a bikini already so good for you! I am glad I won't have to deal with removing drains or stitches - I think my DR. would do it and my BIL is a NP.

How long will you swell? Did you go down a size in clothes yet? Do you need to wear baggy clothes to be comfortable?

I could have had my done by my Dr as we friend is a nurse, so it was not a big deal.

Dr Sauceda said that I should expect to see about 85% of my results by the 12 week mark, and the rest by the 6 month mark.  I am already down 1 size in clothes from an 8 to a 6, so I would think I would be a 4 when all the swelling is gone.  No, I can wear pretty much anything I want.  I don't even own a pair of jeans since we live in Hawaii, so I don't know about that.

Thanks. Do you still wear your compression garments?

The lanyards how many did you use to hold your drains up?

I always wear my compression garments, and only take them off when I shower.  Now, I have taken off my bra garment and gone without that for a few hours at a time.

I only used 1 lanyard, and that is all I needed.  The drains that Dr S uses has clips on them, and I just clipped all 5 to the lanyard.
